Art Exhibition at Taíno Towers
You are cordially invited to submit your artwork to participate in the group exhibition Aqui esta El Barrio Part II Art Exhibition at Taíno Towers to take place from September 4th to the 30th, 2015 at the Stickball Community Gallery at Taino Towers at East 123rd Street, NYC. This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of our dearly departed member Vinny Dark who initiated this exhibition last year.

Please submit your work by email to prida@cemiunderground.com. There is no fee to apply. All media are welcome (photography, drawing, sketching, painting, mixed media, cartoons, graphics and crafts). All artwork must be ready to hang/display. If your work sells we will deduct 30% of the sale price towards the gallery and expenses of the exhibition.

Regulations:
1. No more than 3 entries per artist
2. Artwork that hangs on the walls must be ready to hang and should not be larger than 24″ x 24″
3. 3D Artwork for display must not be more than 12″ high

Submit by email only (prida@cemiunderground.com), please send the following information and details by Monday, August 17th:
1. Jpeg or bmp digital images of each work to be considered. Please name the actual image with your artist name, the title of the work, and the price all together. An example would look like this: (HoneyBooboo_Honeycomb_earrings_100.jpg). Another example could look like this: “PapiChulo-Fuego-vejigantemask-350dollars”.
2. Please list the full dimensions of each piece (base, height, width) and weight (only if the weight is substantial—anything less than half a pound does not need to be weighed).
3. Please list the media involved in each piece.
4. Please provide your full name, your artist name, your business address, your website and contact info.

Remember to price your pieces to sell and to price your piece so that you get the profit you want. The gallery will handle ALL sales. Seventy percent will go to the artist, twenty will be retained by the gallery, and ten percent will go towards expenses. We welcome volunteers to put together this exhibition. As you know it takes a lot of work to put on an exhibition and we are doing this on our spare time.

Timeline:
Monday, August 17th – deadline to submit your artwork
Saturday, August 22nd – Artists will be notified about their submittals
Saturday, August 29th and Monday, August 31st – Selected artists should bring artwork, ready to hang
Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd – We will hang artwork/setup displays
Saturday, September 5th – Opening reception
Wednesday, September 30th – Last Day of exhibition
Thursday, October 1st – Artists can pick up what has not sold.

The gallery is free and open to the public on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. All participating artists should make an effort to volunteer as gallery sitters for a few hours on one of these days.
