Mr. Alvarado passed away on January 30, 2015, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is resting at the Atlantic Garden Veteran’s Cemetery of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He will be remembered for his kind and loving personality, and the more than 20 years he devoted to La Casa, contributing to its development and preservation.

We were fortunate to have spent great times with Mr. Alvarado, an accomplished visual artist, poet, and the author and artistic director of various play productions. He was also one of the most ardent proponents of our Puerto Rican culture. His paintings reflect the love he had for Puerto Rico, and many aspects of his life and culture.
