March 16…SET UP ON THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF EL MUSEO DEL BARRIO!

PRIDA CALLS ON ALL PUERTO RICAN ARTISTS
TO SET UP ON THE SIDEWALK
IN FRONT OF EL MUSEO DEL BARRIO!

Saturday, March 16 11am – 5pm

(5th Ave. between 104 & 105th Sts. in Manhattan)

If you sell art, music or books you don’t need a vendor’s license.

As in the past we are calling on all Puerto Rican artists/artisans to show the Museo del Barrio that we are here and we have art that promotes our culture and is priced to sell.

We urge you to only bring what is legal to sell in the sidewalks of NY: art, books and music is allowed without a street vendor permit as this activity is protected by Freedom of Speech in the Constitution. Please do not bring anything that is utilitarian, like jewelry or apparel  without graphics, but only what is stated above…Should you have any questions about the legal issues regarding what type of art is allowed, etc., please contact Olga Ayala at olgaamano2@aol.com.  If it’s raining or real cold we’ll postpone it to the following Super Sabado Saturday in April.

Assemble and set-up your tables on the sidewalk in front of the Museo del Barrio (5th Avenue between 104th St and 105th St) by 11am.  Their event, Super Sabado, is scheduled from 11am to 6pm. Go to the Museo website for details http://www.elmuseo.org.

See you Saturday, March 16!
